By DDM, on February 24th, 2011 I thought I would write up a quick run down of the Pirate’s Hats themselves. They are actually a pretty big part of the Live Event and should be used if you want to make the most out of your time in Smugglers Rest and Crystal Cove.
If you made a character prior to the live event that character will have a Paaaaaaaaaaarty Invitation in their inventory. Take that to Euphonia’s Hat Box and turn it in. Depending on how old that character is and a few other . . . → Read More: Pimp Your Pirate Hats for Dungeons and Dragons Online 5th Anniversary Live Event

NOTE: These items are now in DDM’s Realm database! Please remember that these items have not been verified and may change when the event goes live. Working as we speak to verify all the great gear. Good luck!
Here is a list of items that you can create according to their listing on Lamannia. Few were made and there are some that appear to be typos/bugs on Lamannia. However, this should give you a good idea of what is to come.

By DDM, on February 20th, 2011 I’m going to assume that you have read the two previous articles on Smuggler’s Rest and Crystal Cove so you are familiar with how and where you will need to go to get all of the ingredients for Dungeons and Dragons Online 5th Anniversary crafting.
So what are you to do with all these ingredients? Make some great new loot, that’s what! There are lots of great new items you can craft. All of these items are much like the Mabar Event and have five different levels of the same item (4,8,12,16,20).

By DDM, on February 18th, 2011 Crystal Cove is a area near Smugglers Rest where the Kobold Union goes to mine Green Dragonshards. The Kobolds are interesting little critters with lots to say. Their voices are great so make sure to have your sound on! You have to follow the rules of the Kobold Union to maximize your efforts in the dungeon. The Kobold crew is waiting inside for your help as you are offering security and escorting them to the rich crystal caches. Make sure you and your party are ready for a timed 20 minute quest.

By DDM, on February 16th, 2011 It looks like Turbine has outdone itself once again. They have a great new live event planned for the 5th anniversary of Dungeons and Dragons Online! This time they are taking everyone back to the early days of original starter area. Those that played before Ebberon Unlimited was released will recognize this area. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with how it has been redone and expanded.
To get to this area head to the Harbor near the quest entrance to Arachnophobia on the wharf and talk to Sailor . . . → Read More: Dungeons and Dragons Online 5th Anniversary Crafting & Live Event

By DDM, on February 9th, 2011 Part II – Being a Healer in a Quest
If you missed part I of this healer series read it first here: To be a Heala! The Guide to Healing
Now that you have an idea of the healer’s role, we can move on to how you to fill this role.
If you want a say in how you will heal a group, I would highly recommend you take a more open leadership role in adventuring party’s. And since the group should really revolve around their healers (since they’re the . . . → Read More: To be a Heala! The Guide to Healing pt II
By DDM, on February 2nd, 2011 You are not a potion vendor. You are not a wand dispenser. You are not a hireling heal-bot. You cannot cure idiocy.
You are a healer. One of most rewarding, sought after and important roles there is in Dungeons and Dragons Online.
Part One – What is a healer?
Easily one of the most under appreciated and over simplified roles in Dungeons and Dragons Online is the healer. The healer is tasked with keeping the group alive and in good condition to be able to tackle the situations they will . . . → Read More: To be a Heala! The Guide to Healing pt I
By DDM, on February 2nd, 2011 I stumbled across this today and thought I would share it with you all. It looks like there is another movie coming out about Dungeons & Dragons. This movie looks like it is going to focus around a very eccentric Dungeon Master that doesn’t take to kindly to being criticized. This one is from The Strong Brother and looks like it could be really good. Hopefully it shows that the game can actually be fun and it not totally degrading to all of us gamers. So here’s to hoping! If nothing else it should give us all a good laugh. Check it out and let me know what you think! . . . → Read More: The Dungeon Master Movie
