If you take your first two rights and then a left you will enter a room with an archery range. In this room is a lever. This activates a portal to the second floor. Be WARNED: This also activates several very tough ambushes below!
Do not throw the lever unless you are ready for these. Advise your group to leave it be if you are not going to take the portal. Just activating it adds the ambushes.
